Session rates are on a sliding scale. This sliding scale is designed as an inclusive system, so that everyone has the opportunity to receive therapeutic bodywork. Please contribute based on what is most appropriate for you. This pricing is inclusive of all modalities except for Hot Stone Treatment (see below).
30 minutes: $40-70
60 minutes: $60-100
75 minutes: $75-125
90 minutes: $90-150
Please note: bodywork treatments at Lightworks Therapeutics are measured in terms of a “therapeutic hour,” meaning a 60-minute session comprises of about 5 minutes discussing the client’s updated medical history and goals for the session, and about 55 minutes of bodywork.
The first session begins with a discussion of treatment goals and a health history intake form. This initial intake process usually takes about 15 minutes of time. You are not charged for this time; the full-length bodywork treatment will begin once the intake session is complete.
Add $10 for Hot Stone Treatment. Please note: Hot Stone Treatment is not available at away-sessions.
Add $20 per away-session to cover transportation costs and set-up effort. An “away-session” is defined as any session that occurs outside my studio, locally. I am available to do local away-sessions at your Ann Arbor home and/or business upon request, with either a massage table or massage chair (popular for businesses). The $20 away-session fee includes all modalities except for Hot Stone Treatment, which is not available at away-sessions.
Gratuities are not expected but are graciously accepted.
Packages and Gift Certificates
Gift certificates are available for 30-, 60-, 75-, and 90-minute sessions, and they make great gifts!
If, during the initial assessment, I determine that my work cannot serve your needs, we end the session at that time and you are not charged for the initial appointment.
Payment is due at the time of service, unless other arrangements have been made prior to the treatment. I accept cash, personal checks, and credit cards only. There is a $10 fee per bounced check. I do not bill clients or accept insurance.
